A small bunch of tutorial packs made mainly for people who are new to MMF 1.5, now most of these tutorials ARE possable in TGF, but I dont have TGF installed & I'd need to wait for Clickteam to give me my serial number sence i lost it. Anyway, this little tutorial pack includes the following tutorials:

8 Directional Movement- A smooth custom method of 8 direction movement.

Smooth Grid Movement- A grid movement method that smoothly travels an object from 1 slot to the next.

Rough Grid Movement- A grid movement method like smooth, only it jumps to each slot.

Scatter Effect- A special effect that has multiable objects that appear & disappear around an object, much like that of which in the original Sonic games when you beat Dr. Robotnik.

Scrolling Mini Screen- A method of creating a mini screen that scrolls around with a boarder built around it.

Moving Platform- A simple method of a moving platform that allows the player to sit ontop & move with the platform when standing on it.

Rain- A very simple, but very nice method of rain that looks very relistic.

Anyway, this tutorial pack was made with no extentions, so no extra downloading will be needed.

All frames are fully commented with alot of detail & all events are in clean groups now.

I haven't looked at the coding yet, but it looks like some good stuff. However, some are so basic I don't think anyone would give you credit for it.

usefuL!

The give credit thing is just me asking you not to go around saying that you found out all yourself, throw a little credit over to me if people ask how you did it. Any request for a 3rd pack are now open, I've already got parallax planned, any other ideas?

Broken link. Fix, please.

What is parallax? Is it when the background moves independantly from the rest of the screen(like in Crystal Towers)? If not, can you do that too(whatever it's called).

Posted by Silveraura 1st June, 2005

Yeah, its most popular (atleast for me) in the Sonic series for the Gens. Backgrounds sliced into multiable layers & move at different speeds as you move, giving you a real nice feel of debth. Like I said all, I'd make it for TGF, but I dont have it installed & I dont feel like waiting to get my TGF Pro serial back from Clickteam (I keep losing it because I never used TGF.)

Awesome, I know how I would do parallax, but I'll wait to know the better way.
