The sequel to HatMan is finally finished in the nick of time! Take control of HatMan, hat enthusiast and expert, on a mission to recover his stolen family gifts - hats, of course. Take back the hats from the mysterious chump who took them and keep any treasure and gifts you find along the way. Metaphysically take back Christmas!

This game makes much more sense if you've played the original HatMan; while the game is just fine on its own it's a good bit tougher - while you can probably run through all the levels very quickly to get to the end, it'll take quite a bit more work and precision to get all the bonuses; getting a high score is contrastingly difficult from the original game.

Z is jump
X is attack
Arrow keys move HatMan and aim the hat

You get three lives, and three hit points - lose them all and it's game over.

The red enemies are invincible! Don't waste your time attacking them.

Guide boss for the confused:

First boss: Hit the reflector at the top with the hat to jam it, then move so the laser hits the girder. Wash and repeat.

Second boss: Stand on the button for a few seconds to deactivate the shield, then go pummel the consoles on the top with the hat to destroy them.

Third boss: You figure this one out.

It was pretty decent. I honestly couldn't get passed the first boss, I managed to get the top and bottom laser to separate once, but I couldn't figure out how exactly I did it, if it had something to do with hitting the top half with the hat or making the laser hit the guy at the bottom. Other than that, frustration, I enjoyed it.

You can control the hat with the up and down arrow keys once you throw it.

This game rubbed me the wrong way. Didn't enjoy it, sorry =/. There was also a bug with enemies turning invincible for no good reason which was quite annoying. The level design was far below-average IMO

My bad then on that one. It seemed odd though that the hats just go straight trough them rather than bouncing off or something.

I thought that too, and I'm OCD when it comes to games, I absolutely HAVE to beat everything, except if the game sucks really bad.

You should have given the different enemies different graphics. The color-coded thing didn't turn out well.

It seemed pretty cool! But during the first boss fight, monsters should not be able to spawn on the sides and instantly hit you- thats one of those issues where the player has no way to react to the game :S

You could counter that by, you know, not standing there. Maybe thats too hard of a concept to grasp, I don't know.

Great! I enjoyed this and I found it quite a bit harder than the first game. I'm glad you didn't deviate far from the Hatman formula. I miss the old boss explosion animation, though. It was so beautifully out of place. Otherwise, the presentation is top notch.

The red enemies didn't bother me but a different graphic would've made it clearer (you know this already)

5/5 for instant hat throw.
