All I can say is yoshi should be as good in the revelution as he was in the N64. I cried for nights on end when yoshi was downgraded in melee. Poor Yoshi, learn to become better please.

I Like being link and taking on 3 level 9's in a team battle where I'm one color and they are all red or something. That game gets boring really fast though, beats the hell out of soul caliber. I hope I'm not the only one that hates that game.
I Like Mortal Kombat: DA the Most. Smash Bros. is fine and everything, but nintendo can't rip mario's head off by yoshi and get away with it.
thinking is like pong, it's easy, but you miss sometimes.
Yeah, Yoshi was pretty good in the N64 version. You just couldn't kill him (or knock him back, for that matter), especially when he was in the middle of his second jump. His egg throw in Mele is pretty good though, but you're right, they did unfortunately downgrade him.
You now rockin wit a pro

His egg throw in the N64 version was a lot more controlled, so it could be used as a sheild, which means if yoshi got ht, the other character couldn't combo. Also, the meteor smash takes forever in melee.

I dont like Soul Calibre either. it feels too clunky its not graceful like Smash Bros. or as fun.
As for Samus and Megaman, in smash bros they would be near identical, both have the arm cannon thing, both have the charge ups. thats B and B-left/right sorted right there. Suitless Samus would be a better character. without that damn annoying laser grapple hook thing!
Samus could be better. should be a way to turn into the ball, and she should have the same jumping style from the old 2D metroids. stand still+jump=jump. move+jump=spin jump. The spin jump should replace the Up+B attack. i reckon!
Well it wouldn't feel too natural, though...I think Samus is a very good character in Melee, and not too many things have to change. I absolutely HATE it when people complain about her roll, though...
[quote]Sonic will never be in Smash Bros. You can spout on about Sega working with Nintendo all you want but he won't be in Smash Bros Melee.[unquote]
Yeah you're right,Sonic will never be in SSB. Melee. BUt there's a teensy chance he'll get into the rev version. Knuckles would be a cool addition too.
Characters I would like to see in the next SSB:
-Zero from the Megaman Zero games. He would rock!
-Captain Olimar. Throwing Pikmins and stuff. >D
-Dark Samus or S-AX. Preferrably S-AX 'cause she was a whole damn lot scarier than Dark Samus.
-Viewtiul Joe would be a so perfect addition !
-Professor E. Gadd!
-Cutman!
-Jill Valentine. Will never happen, but it would still be cool!
Other than new characters I would like to see way bigger arenas, 8 simultaneus players and support for online battles. The core game mechanics wouldn't be needed to fiddle with except from minor tweaking and fixing of bugs.
And Samus is my fav in melee. The charge "beam" and the missiles are a perfect combo. First charge the beam to max. Fire a missile at the opponent and imedietly fire the beam after the missile. The opponent will block the missile but get hit by the beam. In most cases that is. More experienced players will se through that tactic if used a lot.
Dude, the S-AX? As far as you'd be able to tell, that's just NORMAL SAMUS. Dark Samus would be kind of midway between Mewtwo and Samus, which would be kinda neat I suppose.
Ok, you got a good point there Radix.
Appearance would be the mayor factor in these sort of games when it comes down to characters. Dark Samus (DS) wouldn't actually be such a bad choice for an extra Metroid character in SSB when I think about it. DS moves differently and her beams are a bit different.
But it would be kinda cool if the monster-ish version (not the Omega-version) of the S-AX were used as a boss. Like Giga Bowser, which btw looked freaky as hell.
You know what would be cool? Metroids. Kind of like how Zelda changes form, and the alien lifecycle in AvP2, they could mature into higher forms as they fight. It wouldn't even matter if the first couple could fly, because they'd still go flying when you hit them.
Space Pirates would be neat, too. The black SWAT guys show off how effective fighters they can be. But I'd like them to be Zebesian Pirates. I don't like the Prime designs.
QUOTE: "Other than new characters I would like to see way bigger arenas, 8 simultaneus players and support for online battles."
WAY bigger arenas? Idk, I don't think the levels should get much bigger than the Hyrule Temple, because when you have 4 players going at it, people are flying all over the screen, and it's nearly impossible to see exactly what your character is doing.
They would need more classic levels, though. I'm really surprised they didn't put the first Hyrule (from SSB) in Melee! That level was amazing, and the tornado was so cool (as annoying as it was). That was my favorite level, by far, of either SSB or SSBM.
But the next game should include a couple Sonic levels (just like Emerald Hill and that Sky level in sonic 3), regardless of his appearance in the game! It'd be so cool...actually now that I said that out loud, it sounds more unrealistic, doesn't it, haha. But I trust Nintendo will do an amazing job with the levels, as they always have. They have a perfect balance of levels as it is...if you want to screw around and have fun 'n stuff, you can play in Brinstar Depths or that F-Zero level; or if you want to prove you're better than your friend in a mono-y-mono battle, you can play on final destination or battle field. Nintendo will def. dish out some amazing new levels for the next SSB game...
...a question, though. Has everyone seen the Revolution controller? It seems to have very few buttons on it, because it is mostly used as a motion sensor "remote"...I wonder if the gamecube controller could be used to play the next-generation SSB game. But who knows.
I forgot who said it, but it would be amazing if they had a Metroid item! For example, if you picked it up and threw it at someone, it would stick to 'em and make their percentage go up (kind of like the Lip's Stick I suppose, but you could only throw it)! How cool would that be?
Aye, Nintendo confirmed a few of the early releases for the Rev will use the Shell controller. My guess is Smash Bros is one of them. so long as some of the Revs features are used, maybe for a more precise weapon throw?
Ridley would make an excellent boss. I'm hoping they have more bosses, whilst Giga Bowser and the Master hand were good additions they should probably have mini-bosses every so often. hmm.
