Okay, this is just for fun. Who'd you nominate to be an admin?
Mine would be...
Poobical (The great game maker)
-Adam- (The ADAM)
OMC (The goober)
Muz (The- Wait a minute...)
Joellie (The great artist)
Mark Radon (The rad Radon)
Bibin (The retro)
MacAdam (The Gangsta, yo!)
Tomatokid (The ripe and fresh)
\/\/olf (The, uh... Wolf.)

Hmm... who would I vote to be a new admin... That's really tough. There are different members of the community who have different strengths.
Mistah Radon is very fair and balanced, paying compliments and respect without sounding wishy-washy...
Cecil is sensible and respected by most members of the community. (As far as I know. )
Dines created El Tortoyse and is helpful...
Bibin is inherently a leader, methinks...
I would nominate Peblo, but it seems that he's awfully busy a lot of times...
Codemonkey is codemonkey. 'Nuff said.
Nick and Nim also are fine members of the DC.
There are a couple of newer members who I believe would make good admins but wouldn't nominate just quite yet, if only because their clicking knowledge isn't quite advanced enough yet to be an admin of a clicking site. (Though that has no real bearing, I suppose.)
Probably a lot of members would be good as admins, but I can't think of any more right now. I'm almost asleep.
BTW, thanks for recognizing me as a goober. Means a lot.

Some admins have said I should put my name forward to be an admin but nevar! One of the mods on a big TF2 server that I go on (exclusively no less ) asked me to become one but it's daft to take something you have fun on and become all super cereal about it.
Pixelthief and Dr. James make good games. They don't deserve to be admins. Admining takes time, which I'd rather they spend on making games

Adam and RickyG would probably be good admins if they were made into them. Too many people are good for admins, and we have some great ones already. We'll worry about picking another one when the time comes.
I think nearly everyone on this site would bring something to the table if they became admins, but here's a few i'd like to see;
OMC - the guy is crzy, really would like to see what would happen to this site if he got his mits on the reigns!
Pixelthief - what a contributor when it comes to technical coding! We'd all be MMF 1st person shooter experts by now!
Jonathan Smeby - love his sense of humour (as seen on his games)
Peblo - creator of the greatest Tourey EVER; the Tourey to end all Toureys! If he can organise this, what else can he organise?!
W3R3W00F - contributes loads in the forums; atleast we know he'll update the site plenty! (sorry i didn't get your fonts right )

Tank oo! It's Ok if you couldn't get the fonts, I used MScharacter map.
On a similar note it might be useful to have sub-admins for each of the areas of TDC. One could prune out and tidy up the projects section, another could run GotW...
But as if it's busy enough to need them really. Back to Father Ted.

Seconded!
I nominate all the current admins to be admins. I also nominate (in no particular order):
Adam
OMC
ωξяξW○○F (he talks so much he'd be good to update the page every day or so)
Pixelthief
Dr.James

Lol, true. But If I updated everyday, I would probably (and very quickly) run out of things to update ABOUT. Though I wouldn't really mind being an admin, I'm cool with it either way. Admin, OR member.
Isn't that what all the admins do? I mean they really don't do anything else, and all complain about the extra tasks. I think Rikus had a very valid point.
Not everyone would. If you list why you think they would be good, it doesn't matter whether they are a friend or not. And you have to keep in mind that some people choose friends that have the same qualities as admins.
Wouldn't "this needs to change" be a good quality to have in an admin? If the change improves the site then the admin is doing their job. If the change isn't so well thought out, the other admins will intervene.
You have a point about the people nominating their friends, however since the topic is strictly about personal preferences it isn't really incorrect to do so here. Though it is good to see people giving honest reasons behind their opinions - it shows they are taking this thread seriously.

I'm still under the belief that the current admin picking system is ineffective and should be revised. I mean, yeah sure people can write some fancy games, are popular among the members and post a bunch, but when put in the admin position, kinda suck. Sometimes the admin rocks in one area of the job, say updating the front page, but when it comes to the forums, questionable decisions get made.
I'm all for sub-admins, giving those good at their area of expertise (for instance, enthusiastic forum posters and experienced game developers over the news for the front page, impartial dudes who don't get involved in drama over the forums, etc.) a chance to improve the site to the standards of excellence.
I imagine actually having shorter trials for admins and cycling through members would quickly find those who shine the most. Delegation of duties would let the ultra-admins a chance to relax, knowing that those below them are apt for the job, giving them a chance to lead TDC instead of managing it.
Something to think about. Anyone agree?

By the way, I wasn't nominating all those people. O_o I was listing qualities. I would have to narrow it down quite a bit.
Besides, I forgot to mention a few people! Although a lot of them are the people who make such good games and stuffs that being an Admin would take away time from that.
