Oh and the last time I went to the US, I tried one of those menus at a Taco Bell restaurant. The whole thing looked nice and stuff but as soon as I had a bite, I almost threw up. No more tacos for me, thanks.
Taco Bell really isn't real Mexican food. I myself fancy their nachos and Crunchwraps, but the true taco is a homemade taco!
Confession time... I haven't had a taco in a long time. We had them so much I kind of got sick of them. Only Mexican food I've had for a long while is Nachos 'n' Cheese. And if you get it from Moe's... Oh man. -___- It's like... you died. And went to food heaven.
BTW, thanks for the compliment Johnny, the respect's mutual!
Mmmmm the crunchwrap supreme originally known as the Origami Tostada . 12 inch flour tortilla, ground beef, nacho cheese sauce, hard taco disc thing, lettuce, sour cream and diced tomatoes. Then fold it, grill it for 27 seconds.
3.50 in
Edit: Original real Mexican food is probably one of my favourite kinds of food. Originally I dismissed it and assumed it was all going to be spicy, but how wrong was I

I'm not really american, I have american ancestry. I live in Portugal, if I was compare the food from here and the garbage I have to eat every time I go the us, it would be like comparing a nice and hot lasagna with a sock from the dumpster. Even the McDonalds here is much better, in the US I can barely finish eating one of those small hamburgers while here I always ask for two big macs.
Lol The only thing I'm not too keen on is the American beverages, sodas/fizzy drinks particularly. A lot of the food is kinda crappy, but Id perhaps find food in other countries that I don't like. A lot of the American fruit is also very tasteless and pumped full of water, seemingly. Hershey's chocolate is really bad, too
But hey, I like the places and a lot of the people.

*hides*
I don't like carbonated beverages myself.
Where exactly did you go in America? We have food from all over the world in the US. In Louisiana at least all you have to do is drive an hour north or south to get totally different tasting food. Then again they do call where I'm from the melting pot of the world because of the many different cultures that are present.
Btw I have a lot of Europeans that are going to my college on sports scholarships, and I asked them what they thought of the US and they said it was nothing of what they thought it would be and that the people were "nice."
There's definitely crappy food in America, but there's also good and great food and I don't think that's any different from any other country. Though we may have more of it because we mass-produce crap to put in the aisles of Wal-mart.
Mainly Eastern USA North Carolina, Florida, NY, Washington DC, Virginia (nice food here though) Philidelphia and Atlanta once. I intend to visit Western in the near future, I couldn't care less about the middle part ROFLCHOPS.

They're not gonna say bad things if they have to live there
I was watching a program the other month, and part of it was discussing how the majority of USA had only just started importing cheeses and other dairy foods from around the world.
Uh oh. I just realised how far this thread has gone off topic. Mr Nim will be furious \/
Er... another confession...
I doubt myself too much. Always told by people that I "sell myself short" and that I should be more positive about my own work. I guess that's why so much gets abandoned

go find a hole in the wall mexican food place, go to a mission in california, or just find a mexican and have them make it for you. i guarentee it will be 1000x better than the shite from a food chain.
if you think tacos are overated then youve never had a REAL taco.
