btw good charlotte should die because they're not real punk, they just wanto be, and whats all this crap i read about them being so hardcore but they still keep a sensitive, religious deeper meaning. BAH!
'oh yeah? he's thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you done?'
faith no more, jesus lizard, AFI, Nirvana (still the best band ever), black flag, the smiths, spandau ballet, the beatles, ultravox, depeche mode, most classical (instruments only, not the music with singing, a.k.a Opera) blondie (now that's real punk) and many, many more.
I've seen Less than Jake live at Donington (was there to see Iron Maiden mostly...), and their music is decent but I really don't like them as people. Goldfinger I rather like, especially for "Spokesman".
Nu-metal's horrible (except maybe Limp Bizkit). Modern punk (unlike the crappy old punk) is cool, though.
My favorites would be Sum 41 and Blink 182. Good Charlotte's cool, but mainly coz they're nice guys.

Actually, Sex Pistols had the worst possible sounding music ever created. The only reason why they became popular was because of the rebellious image they portrayed.
