Punk Rox! I like Punk/Rock, maybe a bit of the basic bands like Blink 182 - Sum 41, but every now and again a one hit wonder comes along with something nice.
Some of these might not entirely count but... Green Day, Nirvana, The Offspring, Suicide Machines, The Ataris, Weezer, Ben Folds Five, Eve6, Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, Sublime.
seen then live many a time- they used to be better than they r now - i like ska bands like shooting goon, skankin pickle, lightyear, howards alias , busdrivers - etc - all have punk elemtns with a ska/reggae twist
blink 182, less than jake, goldfinger, sum 41, mest, reel big fish.
i also really like limp bizkit, korn and linkin park.
and on the subject of good charlotte... they seem kinda cool, but their music is really average at best. i remember back when they were practically unknown.. they were pretty lame back then too. i wonder why everyone liked them all of a sudden?
they did a song with goldfinger and mest called "the innocent" which really kicks ass though, it's in memory of sept 11th.
Yes I like alot of these bands, but I choose to stay away from the popular stuff, since I cant stand when a song comes on all the girls rush around saying OMG THIS IS MY SONG lol. Im not so sure about releasing one of the best punk bands, since I dont want them to get popular lol. try Rise Against
oh and Slick Shoes is pretty good, but its softer punk.
We are the music makers, we are the dreamers of dreams...
Offspring all the way, AFI ive just got into (some say theyre crap but total immortal roxxorz) the old offspring (first album not americana f00ls is the most punk styleeee one) and the offspring promote mp3 sharing w00t!!! Bad religion too (but they could be something totally different) And the older greenday moozic.
Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, Avril Lavigne etc. = die!!!
I'm a big Offspring fan.
Love my Blink, Greenday, Living End, Sums, Simple Plan.
Don't mind a bit of Pennywise, Melincolin, Goldfinger, Ataris, AFI, No Use For A Name, Unwritten Law.
But I just like me rawk music... i'm no punk!

i dont actually mind Undergrads, although ive only seen the one serious that they always seem to repeat in australian. its just a shame about the theme music but there are deffinately worse 'adult' cartoons outhere like Funky Cops, that's just deppressing
'oh yeah? he's thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you done?'
btw good charlotte should die because they're not real punk, they just wanto be, and whats all this crap i read about them being so hardcore but they still keep a sensitive, religious deeper meaning. BAH!
'oh yeah? he's thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you done?'
faith no more, jesus lizard, AFI, Nirvana (still the best band ever), black flag, the smiths, spandau ballet, the beatles, ultravox, depeche mode, most classical (instruments only, not the music with singing, a.k.a Opera) blondie (now that's real punk) and many, many more.
I've seen Less than Jake live at Donington (was there to see Iron Maiden mostly...), and their music is decent but I really don't like them as people. Goldfinger I rather like, especially for "Spokesman".
Nu-metal's horrible (except maybe Limp Bizkit). Modern punk (unlike the crappy old punk) is cool, though.
My favorites would be Sum 41 and Blink 182. Good Charlotte's cool, but mainly coz they're nice guys.

Actually, Sex Pistols had the worst possible sounding music ever created. The only reason why they became popular was because of the rebellious image they portrayed.
