You could do something like the 'store points' hack for vbulletin. You get a store point for every post you make, and for every thread you make you get a store point when it reaches a certain amount of views/replies. Then you have +/- buttons on each post-giving someone a plus gives them a point. Giving a minus takes one away. Then there's the store with things like custom title, highlight name etc.
No, the last thing we need is to incourage posting. Reviewing must be encouraged, helping eachother must be encouraged, but posting is a privilage, not a contribution. Maybe code it forums, but other than that, it isn't a privilage.
Copy this to your hard drive. It will be worth alot when I'm famous.
Notice: Spelling mistakes above left in for people who need to correct others to make their life fulfilled.
Yeah I can't wait to buy a daily click t-shirt and get the shit beaten out of me when ever I go out in public! A daily click teddy bear would make me cool too.
I dont have anything against the daily click, but have you ever sold anything in your shop?
Nah, no merchandise buying. It'll ruin everything.
I once wanted to buy one of those TDC T-shirts, but they were waaay too expensive. I'd take a blank T-shirt, print the TDC logo, and iron it on my shirt, but that would be copyright infringement .
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
Daily click should have a competion to design a tshirt and you add the winners design to your shop, you might sell a few if some people can do some cool stuff.
If DC points were exchanged for real money, two bad things would happen.
1. The non-talented ones who post a bunch of crap would become rich.
2. TDC would go broke.
Why do we need money to help eachother out? We can always do that for free. Money is the world's 2nd curse. Please don't ask what the other curses are. I haven't made up the whole list yet.
