I think the problem in DC is that people are either Deleted or Not Deleted. I think instead of permanent deletion (except in extreme circumstances), people should have a suspension of 3-15 days depending on the offence.
This would help newbies get to grips with our standards. And perhaps while joining, they get send the rules and regulations in the email. That would help a lot of people find out the boundries to this Board. And what is classed as 'spamming' or 'insulting'.

As far as I remember, there wasn't anything on this website saying that freedom of speech (and other rights) didn't apply here... in fact, no rules to be found. Are there any rules? Hmm - I feel a bit of anarchy coming on. (i.e. I'm just going to do what I normally do)

Jannis: Germany, France and America are all democracies. DC has no constitution and no "laws". Nor does it have a system of government. So the comparisons you draw are flawed, because the big guy here _is_ the big guy. He does not need a majority vote to make a change, in fact, he hasn't even been elected in. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that you can't compare DC with a democratic country.

We're not asking for justification. ShadowCaster has and always will be the master admin at this place.
Still, a set of rules like Pete's aproximation would be nice. So we know when to draw the line...

You guys are all right. Shadowcaster can't do anything he wants, as evidenced by the fact that he just did and no one is going to do anything about it.
Maybe this is hard to accept, so read this very slowly. Forget right and wrong. Forget should and shouldn't. Shadowcaster is the big boss. All of you are about three mouse clicks and a whim from being deleted here. There's nothing you can do about it.
Now before you go ahead and tell me that I am wrong, take two seconds to think about who is going to punish Shadowcaster, if in fact things are not as I've described them. Nobody. Nobody can; nobody will.
Before you go ahead telling me how things should be, don't bother. Is your whining going to make the world a better place? No. Nobody cares if you like it. I don't like it; do you care? No. I would say that if you don't like something, then you should probably not show your unwavering support for it by continuing to use it. Are you going to continue using The Daily Click? Of course you are. If you're all so upset, leave. If not, shut up.
That's all I have to say, and I only had to say it twice. I'm sure it will be ignored again, but I'm no masochist. I'm done with this. Bye!

what is the big deal?!?!?!, hmmmm little things like this seem to turn out into a huge argument on these posts, oh well. i may be new to DC but in the little time i have been here i have noticed JD's annoying comments and rudness....just my opinion though.

ShadowCaster is as good an admin of TDC as I am an op in #K&p. Har har. For the most part I don't touch community sites with a ten-foot-pole, and haven't in the eight years I've been in the IRC community. It's this kind of crap that reinforces that for me.

Hmmm, Ang lee must be JD, Well reading what he had to say I think we should bring him back in at the double, he has character, and I like the way he thinks, I mean come on! Insulting more ppl in the community so he has more of a chance at getting "unbanned"? Pure genius, but honestly no joke I want him back in.

Like Buster said, I deserve to be banned more than JD yet I'm still here. I've said and done much worse and quite frankly it's obvious ShadowCaster deleted him out of a disliking of the person, taking the first opportunity he(she? X)) got to do so.
Perhaps we should bring the concept of 'trial by jury' to DC for older members. Spammmers and shit that sign up just to annoy should be deleted without fail but for someone like JD that's actually been an active member... ASP Trials!!! 12 Click jurors ready to hear the case. I like it!

IT IS TURNING OUT TO BE QUITE A BIG DEAL....woops caps lock hehe , anyway just let jd come back, it is definetly a retarded reason to bann someone for saying what he did, he may have some annoying comments from time to time but its not serious enough to ban him, i recomend ending this whole stupid thing and just let him back....now im quite new to THESE forums so im not sure how this whole ban thing works, so i could just be sounding like a "fucking retard" but...well thats ok lol....hmm i wish this post had much of a point........
