"But I have to say this to Nintendo owners, change the fricking tune will you, all you ever do is go on and on about Metroid and Zelda, and how you guys are still surviving.." thats really ironic, coming from the person who made a Zelda Fan Game
as Simen said, Thank You, and good night.
did anyone know that a couple of years ago, nintendo gave up rare to microsoft? i know a lot of people ought to know this but there are some clueless people here at dc...
Well explain to the world how Nintendo is "cheating" in producing games and profit with the gameboy player adaptor? For one thing, they barely advertise it at all. For another thing, hey, a lot of players don't like staring at a little screen when playing some fungames when they're at home rather than out on the road. It also saves the back/neck cramps. In addition, it also provides a port to those who do not own a GameBoy of any sort and want to play said game (not to mention it's a tad bit cheaper than a Gameboy). It is the fault of Microsoft and Sony for not thinking up a hand held gaming device like the Gameboy to pull in more money that would actually be successful. I think the PlayStation had a hand held GameBoy type of thing, but it was much more like a DigiPet than a Gameboy. Plus not many game designers put in ideas to support it.
Considering this post started biased as all hell, I'll say this.
Nintendo has been in the industry longer than any other current competitor, they have always shown the desire to do new things and forge new paths. Some of these are good, some bad. While as of late they are hurting for titles for the GC, the gameboys sales alone could keep them afloat for a while. Bottom line, they ain't goin' anywhere, Nintendo is a damned stubborn company and they will be around for a long while.
Jon i must disagree, the Xflop is not as good as you make out. My freind had one when it came out and all of us went to play the ALMIGHTY Halo co-op. I found it boring, the frame rate was pathetic and texture sizes was minsicule. My freind then tried to show me bump mapping shadowing in halo, as if i am supposed to be impressesed when its emplemented on something that looks like a 64x64 texture. I am not impressed by the xbox at all, sorry mate as i know you like the xbox .
I like my gamecube the games are fun, the graphics are good (ie framerates above 15-20) and i prefer its controllers, it MAY be flopping in the EU but in the states and Japan its sales opunmber the xbox.
