I know that someone else posted a topic about this but I think if everyone who is a good coder and a spriter team up to make the best click game I think we would make it. Maybe even online. Just think of it. You make your player, dress him/her as you like and go to the game inside. Similar to Star Wars: Galaxies. Where hundreds of people can go in and chat with them in the game. So anybody wouldn't it be a cool idea?
Yah, it was probebly me. It was an idea about a street-fighter game staring really cool click-game characters. But everyone else said that it would be better if we actually had CLICKERS fight each other. It was a really good idea (I mean a Clicker against clicker game). But it just never got off the ground.

It was Ashman, he started a thread called "OMGz!! Wacky Ideaz!! The whole point of his "wacky idea" was to make a a fighting game out of the many klikkers at the Daily Click, he was going to call it Klik Karnage (spelt with a K!!!!) and I was actually thinking he was serious about it and had the confidence to do it. I even made a FULLY animated sprite for it, once then proud of, now I just laugh at how shit it was. It was soon after I met the real Ashman and lost all hope in this project succeeding, now he get's numerous emails from moi asking for my goddamn sprite back!
Anyway it's just one of those overhyped projects which ends up being flushed down the shithole. BTW most of that stuff above it pretty much made up. lolz123
Yeah, Klik Karnage was suppose to be a game where DCer's battle it out made by Ashman. I also made a sprite for it too, and it was pretty good for something made by me. But now it's gawn and I can't find it, so i'm not happy about that...and the fact KK was canned.

However the whole idea about a "TDC-game" is not bad at all ... what the actual game should be all about I dont know ...

I think it should be a top view game cause the gfx will be a lot easier to draw. Maybe something like Ultima Online instead you gather DC points in the game

Yeah, I thought about making a mmorpg where everyone just walked around and chatted. Sort of like an interactive chatroom. But the name "The Daily Chat" was taken . If someones serious in doing graphics I may consider it again.
I really wonder why we should divide ourselves in those TDC-ers, Clickislanders and maybe even the Natomicians which many of you here hates. Klikers are klikers, we shouldn't be divided into different communities. Get what i mean?
Then you could say, why just limit it to Klikers, why not everyone?
I think it'd be more convieniant if you had some kind of interactive side linked to this forum, so you have some kind of consistancy. Like using your DC account to login to the program so you can interact with the site and the forum through a program. And the active users list will be the other people logged into the program/game as you.
It's a bit of a farfetched idea and not really something that needs to be done, but I reckon it'd be pretty cool.
You could have you, as an interactive character, walking around a village of some sort which is DC. You could drop into the Game store and see what new releases there are, or read about how they rate in the Review magazine. You could goto the Preview factory and see what's new and a cookin'. And then you could walk into the pub where everyone is chatting when they're not elsewhere and post something on the various Message Boards scattered on the walls of the pub.
As I said, farfetched idea...but man...it'd be sooo coool!

Im guessing something pretty similar is what your after. In which case Id be happy to do all the graphics, they would be very simple I reckon, just a bunch of tiles and a few character variations. To add something new we could include a bar which had your DC avatar and a link to your DC description.
Like I said, Im very happy to do the graphics, especially in an isometric veiw, infact it would be a nice break from some of the more complex stuff Im doing at the moment. But I would by no means be able to do the coding, and Im not experienced in online stuff.
If this is to ever get done we will need someone to head the project, probably an experience DC member and someone who understands the code needed and are willing to give up the time to this worthy project.

It would be nice to play an online rpg where the users could join together and battle in real time with other users or ai monsters.
i guess i want to play a game like what final fantasy 11 seems to be.
Battling is going to be one of the minigames. Every part of Clickisland Online is done by someone else, so if there are multiple battle areas there's multiple ways to fight each other
If I was in charge of doing this, I would make it sort of like a Death Match (Platform or 8-directions). You get points for every opponet you defeate. You can choose to make alliences...and stuff. Also, there could be power-ups, mini-games, a chat section, races, and a create your character option. I don't know how to make a create-your-character section, by the way . But if we all team up, we can do anything...or something. God, I've been taken over by the moral beast.

I think it should be an h-game like Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball, but with a lot of pasty European adolescents that you can dress up in revealing swimsuits, play around with, and then submit to agonizing, bloody torture. Also, there should be a talking cat who sells you powerups in exchange for the souls of the damned.
We should make an online game where we run away from random TDC people weilding massive chainsaws and very rank body oder. I donno, just a random thought.
Lol a long long long time ago I had an idea for a game called Click Party, which was a board game over click stuff and one of the cards was "The Daily Click has gone offline, lose two turns while it goes back up." yea I was working on it one of the times TDC had massive server problems lol.
Anyway, that Island game idea thingymabob sounds like a good one but I can imagine that it will be hard to code, and require a good server..
Still I look forward to seeing it, if it is ever done .

I think that we should make a interactive chatroom. Have a building or a world where people can walk around and do whatever they want. So a mmorpg minus the fighting.
I already said Id be happy to do any or all of the graphics, however someone must take lead in this project, someone with a good idea about what exactly they want, and someone who knows more than the basics of coding. Just make a list of the roles you need filled and let people apply.

I am an excellent idea-man but not good at coding but can do some pretty good logos and small pixel art. Ok people reply here if you want to be in the project, let's call it Project:Click
Okay, here's some tips for creating a team, Greenleaf.
First, have one and only one artist, you wouldn't want many different style of graphics in your game.
Secondly, tell us what are the roles. We can't have everyone coding, everyone drawing. (except ideas of course)
Thirdly, tell us the MAIN idea. Whether it is going to be a www.helpgame.net sort of game or a kinda MMORPG thing.
Remember that a leader leads a team, so you have to get everything actually planned out before you ask for people to join.
