The Daily Click ::. Downloads ::. Review Review: Jeff Pwns II
If you've seen Bibin's other work you'll know what to expect here. It starts off with some fairly annoying letter by letter text (thankfully you can press esc to skip) The title screen is pretty funky with some retro funky music ive heard it before in one of Bibins abandonware packs... Yeah very well presented throughout. Something you would expect a competition game to cut corners with. Gameplay consists of pretty much one thing. Shooting Icons. Yeah... It uses one of those 360 degree shooty things that are pretty popular within the click community. You can also collect ITEMS! some good some bad. The weapons upgrades make life easier for a little whilst but don't drastically alter the gameplay, and the other effects put you off badly heh, especially the reverse controls one! It would have been nice if there was some reason to explore too, but you may as well stand still the whole time. Does Jeff really look like that? lol nah of course not. There are some nice colourful explosions and the Jeff sprite isn't terribly bad albeit being a MMF2 icon with a black body... Um, there isn't all that much to talk about. Nice but not a lot of them. I love those two tunes. I'm sure ive heard the title theme before. I prefer the ingame music, and infact i feel listening to it is the only reason to want to carry on playing. Shooting icons gets old but the music doesn't So well done to Bibin if he made them both. This wont last very long. At all. Infact the comments section does seem to have giving the game some extra attention, but I dunno if that means people are playing it more or not. If you're a fan of gameplay over everything else this isn't all that great. If you're a retro fanatic (like me) you'll like it more. If you're a construct or gamemaker fan with no sense of humour then... Best to leave this one alone. Ok for 5 mins if you're bored.
