Sadly, I've abandoned this project, indefinitely. I really honestly don't intend to finish this game, as its not even half way done and very old and feeble compared to the kind of stuff I program now.

This is one of my biggest projects to date; Blobquest.
You take the roll of an amorphous blob named as such, with a pretty big sword and shield, and proceed to kick asses left and right. With tight controls, tons of enemies, a handful of spells, and poorly pixelated graphics, Blobquest offers a true platforming experience. Completely devoid of plot, the amount of the game I finished making will take you through two major dungeons and a giant overworld, rife with hidden areas and secret powerups and disturbing fatal errors. Especially the town levels, which has mostly the latter.

The whole experience will last you for a good hour or two of gameplay, up until you hit the third island dungeon, which, as it does not exist, will send you plummeting into a disappointing bottomless pit, after being molested by a weird purplish eyeball with four arms that would have been a neat enemy for the next dungeon. As such, Blobquest offers up some neat old school platforming in the vein of all those old SNES games from the forgotten eras.

FOLLOW ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS, OR THE GAME WILL NOT WORK

UNLOAD ALL FILES INTO THE SAME FOLDER. SHOULD HAVE A MUSIC FOLDER
NEXT TO THE SAVE FOLDER NEXT TO Blobquest.exe NEXT TO Blobquest.gam
DO NOT RENAME ANY OF THE FOLDERS ON PENALTY OF DEATH

MAKE SURE THE FILE DIRECTORY HAS NO SPACES IN IT TO THE MUSIC FOLDER
BASED ON HOW THE MCI OBJECT WORKS, IT WILL NOT LOAD MUSIC IF THE PATH
HAS ANY SPACES.
EXAMPLE: C:/games/blobquest/music = GOOD
EXAMPLE: C:/games folder/blob quest/music = BAD

TO MINIMIZE CRASHING, GO INTO THE PROPERTIES OF "BlobQuestDemo.exe", AND UNDER COMPATABILITY, MAKE SURE WINDOWS 95 MODE IS ACTIVATED. THIS WILL REDUCE CRASHING BY ~99%.

Upon downloading this game, you enter into a contractual agreement requiring your punching in the nose of the next Spaniard you meet.

What the... That's weird. Well, I'm sure I'll be able to play it just fine without that.

It's a cute game. I like games about ugly little swamp creatures wielding giant meat cleavers.

I stopped playing when I went all the way to the bottom of that big cavern only to discover that I'd have to climb all the way back up. Evil!

Crap yeah I was gonna put a teleport thing at the bottom of that, to reduce backtracking. If you want, you can try exploring with the Save Slot #3; it already has a 100% file with all the crud in it.

Sad that this got abandoned. Though yeah, at least the earlier version lacked better gameplay, but I really enjoyed them anyway
