Oh i see.
Actually, those are the same shape as the gamecube controllers and memory cards. Interesting.
I must admit the revolution looks rather stylish. It must appeal to the japanese more than anywhere else since they love their microsized gadgets. Thats probably one reason why the xbox is doing so poorly over there.
Personally i don't care for looks, i want good games.

It has bacwards compaitability with the GCN controller, so you can use your GC controllers as well but the REV will have brand spanking new controllers which will be wireless and theres also a little secret about the controllers that nintendo havent realesed yet, should be good.

Or maybe those plugs are for putting a receiver in for the wireless controllers.

The receiver is integrated. It would be pretty stupid to have to plug a reciever for a first-party launch peripheral.
Those two slots look like they're for GCN memory cards (I've read that the Rev uses a new flash card for storage), and those are clearly GCN controller ports. It's likely there will be some third-party periphs that'll make use of them (rather than having their own batteries, mainly), but my guess is they're just there to provide total backwards-compatibility for the GCN. Even if the new controllers can do everything the GCN ones can, things like dance pads or Konga bongos aren't likely to come out immediately in Revolution form, and with the alternate ports they won't have to anyway.

I know thats not quite what you said Radix, but the ps2 had lots of launch peripherals that were sold seperately, those blue stands cost 10 pounds over here, biggest ripoff ever.

Yeah. I long for the days that consoles came with a full compliment of controllers, a zapper and a game or two in the box.

that verticle stand will make your playstation eat games. I've had it happen to me, NEVER put your PS2 on the side, it's not designed to be that way, even though sony insists it is.
Craps, I'm an old man!
