I just wanted to know how many people used The Games Factory to create games and how many people used Multimedia Fusion to create games. I use The Games Factory to make games however, i recently downloaded the trial version of multimedia fusion and it seems to me that making a game on multimedia fusion could be more time consuming and looks far more complicated than the games factory. Could you let me know what programme you use and which would take longer to create a game. Thanks.
i thought this. But i was wrong MMF is alot better than TGF.Once you know ur way around, takes a couple of hours to learn to get around the program, its just as fast to make a game.
Ive tried the demo of MMF and it's very similar really, you don't need to learn anything new because it still uses the same event editor and object setup. It just gets very cluttered where you first try it out, once you know what you're doing it's probably easy to customize.
Some people even use TGF then transfer it to MMF when limits are reached or to simply add parralax scrolling and stuff.
Well if your a kid, use TGF unless you know how to use photoshop and really know how to program, if you know how to do that use MMF, i just got used to the enviroment of MMF after using TGF for 2 years.

...You just said to use TGF for all the wrong reasons. Age has nothing to do with it at all. Either does photoshopping skills, or your ability to program. You don't need to be able to program well to need a few more active objects, or possibly some extensions.

MMF can be a little overwhelming to TGF users at first, but if you use it for a week or two, you'll realise just how much more powerful it is. Admittedly the picture editor is a little awful, but otherwise it's a much better system.
I suppose it is cheap for MMF. Im just a little worried about ordering stuff off the internet. Is the clickteam fast with deliveries ? I was going to ask for it for christmas.

I use both myself, but I use TGF most. MMF kills TGF in almost every way possible besides its layout. Sure its customizable, but I don't really care for it . . . TGF is no doubt just a tad faster to navigate through and mmf is no doubt way more powerful.
MMF is well worth the price. Actually, I had the trial for nearly a month before I figured out how to even open a new game (I wasn't used to the screen starting out blank). After that MMF came very easily. If you go to the extensions list you can see just how many more extensions work for MMF than do TGF. I highly reccomend MMF, especially if you want advanced games with cool features.
