"Well let's not forget about Earthbound, please"
Again, I forgot about another game I used to enjoy. That series is totally goofy, unlike some of the other RPG's from around that era that try to be serious.

"Have you beaten both of them?"
Evermore, yes, Mana, got pretty far, but I got stuck on something, I don't remember what and gave up. Something about an island to the north. I guess something that set me off from Mana was that it felt too much like a kids game. I'll have to give it another go when I've got the time. I do have to say, both games give me that "man, if I play this again, I have to go through that part again", feeling. One of the games that makes me feel that way the most is probably Legacy of Kain, on the part where you have to visit the oracle the first time (in the ice cave). That was mostly due to the loading times it took to change weapons, and you needed to use the mace (which can't kill anything, it only allows you to suck blood, and all the enemies in that level have the black blood that hurts you) to get through half of the obstacles in the level.

now on the Xbox Live Marketplace!
I think that's the only draw-back with nostalgia; people new to the games you used to love back in the day can't see what was so good about those gems. I love collecting retro stuff i never had the money for when i was a kid. One of the games i wanted most as a kid (but at the time seemed unnavailable due to price) was Heavenly Symphony (aka F1 On The Limit) on the Mega CD. I finally bought a Mega CD and the game a few months ago and wow.... how unplayable in this day and age?! lol
I'll still buy a SNES though, one day soon. From my memory it perfected 2D graphics and as an ex-SEGA fanboy i never had one back in the 90's
I don't have Starfox yet (see post previously) though after seeing it on YouTube again i think i would still find it playable. I played Donkey Kong Country recently and enjoyed that alot - my first time playing it, and i remember getting a promotional VHS with a copy of Match magazine once and watching it time after time again. I simply loved the look of it (in secret, that it - remember i was a SEGA fanboy! lol)

That's very skilled of you since nostalgia doesn't have an on/off-switch. And you're second statement doesn't even involve nostalgia. If it did, you wouldn't think it sucks when you're older.
Why am I even reading something from someone that cant use the words "your" and "you're" properly?
How does nostalgia not have an on/off switch? IF you want to play a game because you thought it was awesome when you were young you don't exactly get nostalgic from it when you play it again and it sucks.
