I don't think he hates the site, just some perhaps questionable decisions. Eg, the way I silenced Adam was not the right way to go about it, and I hold my hands up to that.
Because its not all bad. There are members I like and the place is always active, but I think it used to be a lot better. Like when it was rewarding to get a game on the front page or win GOTW, and Rikus hardly spoke so everyone thought he was mighty.
I was going to not respond because I didn't want to narrow down the list of who did it, but I don't think the topic warranted a lock, so I must confess my innocence. I don't think I've locked anything recently, as far as I can remember.
Some things have been crappy lately, but I still have hope yadda yadda we can get along bla bla bla. I'm going back to the discussion about puzzle games.
The whole point of me complaining is that I still like this site.
Just trying to prove that a lot of people think pointless locking of threads or deleting of posts is not improving the crappyness at all, and is in many peoples opinions only making TDC's members more dissident.
**Plays the dramatic look music and glares at the remaining suspects**
Yeah, us old farts have been here nearly since the beginning of TDC (and were active on other click community sites before that), it's in our blood, man. Now we all got a little grumpy since one old fart was silenced while a very annoying little stinker is being protected by the admins at the same time. So we go sit moaning and bitching on our old man benches.
He was banned for 3 months, after receiving his third warning I believe (the site automatically bans anyone who reaches their third warning).
Though I'm now starting to think automatically banning users is probably not a good way of doing things.. but it has been in place for about 3 years now and we haven't had any problems. I may think about scrapping it though.
