Version 1.42 - bugfix (exporting number XML spreadsheets).
Version 1.41 - minor bugfix.
Version 1.4 - added the option to export XML spreadsheets.
Version 1.3 - bugfix (loading number arrays).
Version 1.2 - bugfix (blank rows being skipped), plus the option to create/open/edit array files.
Version 1.1 - hidden rows and columns are now ignored (allows you to comment your spreadsheet).
Version 1.0 - initial release.
Arrays are a simple and extremely efficient way of storing data for your game.
Unfortunately, Clickteam didn't include a tool for editing arrays (apart from the debugger), making it difficult to load your data into the array to begin with.
The Dynamic Array extension can be used to load CSV files, but these are limited to 2-dimensions. Until now, there has been no easy way to load data into a 3-dimensional array.
My Array Editor allows you to convert multi-sheet XML spreadsheets, generated by Excel or OpenOffice, into 3-dimensional MMF2 arrays (and vice versa). It also provides basic array editing tools, similar to the MMF2 debugger.
Important Notes:
* Requires two common Windows dlls - msvcp71.dll & msvcr71.dll (thanks to Lembi2001 for pointing that out).
* Excel 2003 and OpenOffice are limited to 256 columns per worksheet (sorry, Pixelthief). Excel 2007 allows 16,384 columns.
