[This is a Flash game]

SMR's Armored Funk Daredevils is an incomplete action arcade game where you play the part of an overworked and underpaid robot server at a 24-hour robot dance club. You can deliver drinks to the thirsty patrons or dance for tips: it's up to you. But whatever you do, be sure to dodge the hazards! Lazer pillboxes and roving saw blades make things more exciting (and certainly more dangerous) on the dance floor...

This is also an ABANDONED project. It is not complete, and does not have all the features I wanted to implement. As it was a competition entry and I was already a week late, I decided to close the book on this one instead of slog away at it for no good reason. But I still put some effort into it and took a lot of enjoyment from it, and wanted to show others what I'd done. So here it is.

Graphics and event coding by s-m-r. SDK and sounds from MultiMedia Fusion 2 by ClickTeam. The Community Compo is/was headed by Eight Bit Battle Cat. Game name from the Video Game Name Generator.

HOW TO PLAY
On the title screen, select PLAY by using the ARROW KEYS on your keyboard. Press ENTER to begin the game.

Move the little green robot (that's you) with the ARROW KEYS. Dance on the dance floor by pressing and holding the SPACE BAR.

If you dance near the other bar patrons, eventually they'll throw out tips for you to collect for extra points. You can see your score in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.

If you move up to the other end of the dance floor, you can pick up drinks to deliver to the thirsy patrons at the other end of the club.

Dodge bullets and eventually the spinning saw blades. If you suffer too much damage, it's GAME OVER. Try to stay alive and score as many points as you can before your shift is over (measured by the TIME bar at the bottom of the screen).

HAVE FUN!

Why I try to play there's no little green robot

Hmm...That is VERY strange. I've not encountered that at all.

One way to potentially solve it is to press the ENTER key. It will move the green robot to the bottom-center of the screen. You'll also hear a weird sound as confirmation that the event happened when you pressed the key.

Please post here to let me know whether or not it worked. Thanks for the heads-up on this.
