I had a micro machines for the Mega Drive. It had a track editor in it. I played that gaem to hell. I was so pleased when I FINALLY got it.
... But speaking of Mario Galaxy... When EXACTLY is it out? I bought the official ninty mag and it has two different release dates for it. Next year at the start of the mag and then this november a bit further on. :S
You can thank the 32-bit Generation for the lack of pack in games. Both the N64 and PS1 launched with no pack ins, and it seems to be the standard. Most retailers seem to make their own "pack-in" deals anyway.

Yeah, but Super Mario 64 was still a launch game for N64, even if it wasn't packed in by default.

The Sega Master System had a secret game programmed into the console. Talk about packin.

Doesn't play much like SM64 at all. Also, more puzzles are involved sometimes. You might want to try playing it for a while on an emulator.
Geez I just read some PS3 reviews while searching for Mario's release date (nov 12 US, unknown for europe), and WOW. I actually feel really bad for the people that bought PS3's now (more then I did before); it seems both Lair and Heavenly Sword, 2 of *their* "big three" to oppose nintendos "big three" and microsofts "really frikkin big one", have utterly crashed and burned. Lair turned out to be a dung heap and heavenly sword was depressingly mediocre. Thats a bummer :/ I was almost looking forward to playing those at friends places, at least once.

I assume microsoft's "really frikkin big one" is Halo 3. What are Nintendo's and Sony's "big three"? I suppose Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime are two of them for Nintendo.
