PhizzyPhan: You're just a typical Sony fanboy (I know it's Sony because of your amount of rage and jealousy).
aphant: Sorry. It's just that your manner of speaking influenced people not to buy Xbox360's (and that was making me angry). You influenced Ricky, that's for sure. Your last post made up for it though.
Rage? I'm not the one getting butthurt because someone else "is hurting their console's reputation"
Jealousy? As I said I have both consoles, but I hardly ever use the 360 because the PS3 has much better games (Uncharted series, Little Big Planet, Ratchet & Clank series, Resistance series...)

Just because you own both doesn't mean you're not a fanboy. Stop using that as an immediate diffuse because how you act and what you own are two completely different things.
I tend to be more of a hater than a fanboy. For example, I can't stand anything made by the pretentious pricks at Apple
but I am by no means a windows fanboy.
Ok, so I must consider both consoles equally good not to be a fan boy then? And I must not ever mention the RROD, because that would portray the 360 in a negative manner, nor the fact that Xbox Live costs money when PSN is free?
And there are flaws with the PS3 too, what comes to mind is that game updates takes AGES.
I don't care who made the console, I care about the games. I used to think the Xbox 360 was awesome, I still think it's a pretty good console but I like the PS3 exclusives better.
I mentioned those PS3 games (that I own and enjoyed!) to show I have no reason to be jealous, although I must admit Halo 3 was a pretty good game.

I really enjoyed Halo 3. I typically hate console FPS's too. The only two console FPS I like were Halo 3 and Time Splitters, and I only enjoyed Time Splitters for the split screen and level editor.
I agree, a FPS just isn't the same without a mouse and keyboard. In fact, a lot of games aren't as good without a mouse and keyboard. And for the few that are in fact better with a controller, just plug your Xbox 360 controller into your computer. Or if you have a PS3, I believe it's possible with a blue tooth receiver, to get a Dual Shock 3 controller working on a PC too.
So lets just end the topic with... PC gaming ftw, okay guys?

You don't need a bluetooth receiver, you can plug it in with a USB to miniUSB cable.

Here's my opinion - i hate Microsoft for letting my 360 Elite break! I hardly ever canned it and kept it clean and well ventilated, but it has 2-red lights anyway and won't even open the DVD tray, let alone play anything! Just ordered another Arcade 360 off the interweb tonight so i can carry on playing Guitar Hero Metallica. Never thought i'd buy a replacement console, i'm not the person to throw money around like that.
That said, i love my 360. I truly believed it's the best console i've ever owned, despite the abysmal reliability.
However, since the 360 has been down (for about a month and a half now), i got playing some PC games (see my olf thread about playing Postal 2), and now i have moved on to my old PS2 again.... and i have to say i've fallen in love with that again now! There were simply a colossal amount of games on that console! And yes, many were shovelware, but the majority were 5/10 games or above and since i love all games, it has a huuuuge back catalogue that i find myself playing. Hell, i even bought another PS2 game from eBay the other day (Star Trek Encounters, if you're curious).
Saying that though, the PS2 is prone to unreliability too (albeit it hasn't actually broken down and needed replacing), such as some games won't load unless the console is upside-down/on its side/on its back, etc. And the PS1 CD-holding bearings all fell out on that console. So Sony kinda suck too!
Then again, consoles these days are so much more complicated than back in the 16-bit days, internally-wise, so what do you expect?

I stand corrected, but you're only proving my point that PC is all around better and has stood the test of time, standing above on the podium laughing as console gamers slapped and fought each other about which of them is superior. Neither.
Playing Assassin's Creed 2 on 360 or PS3: Buy the game, insert the disc, play it.
Playing Assassin's Creed 2 on PC: Buy the game, register an account on UbiSoft's website, hope the authentication server doesn't go down while you're playing or you'll get kicked out of the game.
Not to mention games like Uncharted 2, Halo 3 and Super Mario Galaxy that are console only.

It's been in my experience that for the most part, PC ports look a lot better and thats reason enough for me to prefer PC. They also generally have better support, more content, and that content is also generally free. Look at Team Fortress 2 and Portal.
